- Core: our core is an ABS molded core as opposed to a PVC punched core. The benefit to the ABS molded core is consistency in placement of holes that water flows thru, having an ABS core allows for evenly placed holes and more open areas on your core due to the strength of the ABS which allows more water to pass thru the filter providing the consumer with cleaner water.
- Media: 2 types are available, trilobal and point bonded. Point bonded works in a very similar fashion to trilobal however it is not as cleanable. This lack of cleanability means your filter becomes impacted with debris (dead skin, hair, lotion, make up and body oils) that is harder to clean out leading to needing to replace your filter more frequently. Trilobal media with its ability to be cleaned more effectively allows this debris to be removed thus resulting in not needing to replace your filter as frequently.
